pollen gallery
This gallery is home to an assortment of artwork contributed to pollen, or made as part of the project. Over time, this page will grow and change, shining a light on different creations. We thank everyone who has contributed their time and feelings to the project through art and hope to draw creators, of all sorts, towards pollen in the years to come.
A poem by lizmnk
mother tells me a story,
of life cycles she has seen
one never eclipsing the other, but
interwoven in a great synchronicity
life before blooming, life after carcass
and visions of the past permeating her roots
running through my veins.
the story goes,
once there was a seed, buried under earth,
borne of love and breath,
which then became a leaf,
and through great strife became a tree
supported by its community of bigger trees
her mother tree, a force of productive and creative energy
and her father, a being with many roots
magic, it seems, peddles life here
in this vast dimension we call earth
we are made of collective dreams and
operations
blood and water
breath and wind
earth and skin
we are reflections and
our branches start, end and meet
like how the sky meets the sea
endlessly

Lotus Nova festival Summer ‘22
During the Lotus Nova Festival, many people spent time at the pollen table, filling a book with their responses to questions around connection and detachment from nature. In time, we hope to share many more of the drawings, poems, and other responses created that night.
